The annual proposed rule to govern Medicare physician payment policy in 2015 was published in the Federal Register[gpo.gov] on July 11 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Physicians wishing to comment on the proposed rule can submit their comments in several ways:

Comments are due on Tuesday, September 2, with a final rule to be issued on or around November 1 for implementation on January 1, 2015.  The AMA will circulate draft comments to states and specialties prior to the comment deadline.
