The misuse and abuse of prescription medication and opioid-based drugs is a major public health concern, across all demographics in Connecticut. CT residents are more likely to die from unintentional drug overdose than a motor vehicle accident. The need to coordinate a statewide multidisciplinary approach to addressing this public health issue has never been greater. Please join us to learn more about the evidence based strategies proposed in the Connecticut Opioid REsponse (CORE) Initiative and to hear from experts in the field of prevention, addiction treatment, and recovery.
Law enforcement, first responders, EMS, MDs, APRNs, and other prescribers, state agencies, local health departments, substance use treatment executive and managerial staff, pharmacists.
